Sony Ericsson XPERIA™ X1

Sony Ericsson are soon going to release their first ever windows mobile phone. The Sony Ericsson XPERIA™ X1 is one of the first windows mobile handsets that Sony will be releasing over the next few years.

The Sony Ericsson XPERIA™ X1 is a slide open phone which has a QWERTY keyboard and a touch screen display. The X1 has a slight curve which Sony Ericsson calls an "Arc slider design “this curve makes the first XPERIA handset look elegant and stylish.



Sony Ericsson have taken a business phone like the Sony Ericsson P1 and combined it with a entertainment phone like the Sony Ericsson w850i,or should I say the apple IPhone. The Sony Ericsson XPERIA™ X1 looks like an iPhone in quite a few aspects but is still very different.

This unique Sony Ericsson phone has 3G HSDPA high-speed Internet which runs at up to 3.6Mbit,this is one of the fastest Internet connections that are integrated into mobile phones. These speeds will allow you to search the web, send and receive emails, watch streaming videos, video call and even use VOIP services on your mobile phone which will save you high telephone fees. The X1 also has wifi for when you want to connect to hotspots and other wireless services in your area, this will allow you to ether browse the web for free or get faster internet speeds or if you lucky both!


if you are looking for a decent camera phone then this might be the one for you, The X1 also comes with a 3.2 megapixel camera with auto focus and 3X digital zoom. However if you are looking to use your camera to take very clear and colorful pictures I would suggest you buying one of the K series phones like the Sony Ericsson K850i phones which has an 5 megapixel cyber shot camera.

Mentioned above the X1 has a touch screen which allows you to write your text messages or emails vie a pen called a stylist, this can also allow you to use your pen as a mouse while searching the internet and navigating to applications or services on your phone.

One of the nicest things about the X1 is the screen size. The XPERIA™ X1 has a 3" wide screen display that displays amazing picture quality, in face Sony Ericsson describe it as “DVD quality video on a vibrant wide VGA screen. Another wonderful feature this phone has is a built in GPS unit but then again if it never had this function I would be a bit upset.

The X1 size is 4.3 x 0.7 x 2.1 inches and is only available in solid black, this phone weighs in at 145 gram.
